We are delighted to announce our ‘Get Started with Football’ course will be taking place at the end of November. Our continued partnership with The Princes Trust will see the return of this week-long course which will provide an insight into football coaching.
Throughout the week, participants will have the opportunity to take part in football sessions, team building activities, and discover ways to take their first step into coaching. Additionally, two of the five days will be spent gaining valuable qualifications – Scottish FA Children’s Level 1.1 and Emergency First Aid. Towards the end of the week, participants will have the opportunity in small teams to plan a session and deliver this to the rest of the group. They will also receive support in planning this session and gain feedback from Morton in the Community staff.
Ross McLaren, Employability Project Manager; “We had a thoroughly enjoyable week with the participants. The change in confidence across the week was massive, to be able to deliver a small football session and presentation to us. This is something they wouldn’t have been confident enough to do at the start of the week. Also, to see participants asking to start coaching as a volunteer with us, shows the impact the week has had on them.”
If you are interested in participating in this course, please come along to an information session on Tuesday 19th November 2019, Cappielow Park at 1pm.
The ‘Get Started with Football’ course will take place on Monday 25th November and finish on Friday 29th November 2019.
