Earlier today, Allan Moore (Manager, Morton FC) and Mark McNally (Assistant Manager) helped to promote our SUMMER CAMPS at King’s Oak Primary School.  Stuart Rafferty (SFA Development Manager) and Tom Elliott (Community Engagement Manager, GMCT) also joined forces with the P3 pupils from the local primary school to officially launch the camps.

Every child in Inverclyde and Dunoon will be given a leaflet via their school in the next couple of days.  The Summer Camps will run for 6 weeks during the holidays at various locations throughout Inverclyde and at the Cowal Stadium, Dunoon.  More information about these camps is currently available on our website www.mortoncommunity.net where you can book online too.  We are delighted to be working in conjunction with Dunoon Youth Football League, SFA, Active Schools/Sports Development Inverclyde and Inverclyde Leisure.

We caught up with Allan who supports the work that the GMCT are currently providing and is delighted to be launching the Summer Camps.  He said “the launch today has been brilliant and it was great to get a chance to talk to the kids. Tom has my full support and i’m sure that the summer camps will be a huge success.  Even though it’s a busy time for us at the club with pre-season training we will all be out and about visiting the camps this summer”.

Tom Elliott said “it’s great to have the gaffer’s backing as we want to ensure there is an interaction between the club and the local community.  We thank both Allan and Mark for taking the time to join us today at our official launch”.

Elliott added that “our fun filled camps will be a great way for children to get active this summer while enjoying many activities, creating great memories and making new friends along the way”.

So why not book a place for your child and maybe they will feature in our Story of the Week during the summer holidays while attending one of our camps.
