GMCT have been running summer camps for the past 4 weeks at various venues within Inverclyde and Dunoon but this week there was an additional camp at Battery Park for girls only.  This allowed girls to come along and enjoy a fun packed week giving them a chance to develop and learn new skills.

Our CEM, Tom Elliott delivered the girls camp this week and said “the turnout this summer has been outstanding so far but this week l’m thrilled at the amount of girls that have joined us here at Battery Park”.

Corrie Campbell, Scottish FA Girls & Women Club DO, West Region has also been involved at promoting this girls only camp said “I am delighted with the great turn out of players attending Morton’s girls only summer camp. This highlights the positive progress the club have made in such a short space of time in the girls game. I am pleased to be working with the club and hopefully we can continue to grow the girls section in Inverclyde and Dunoon in the future”.

Elliott enjoyed his week coaching the girls and commented that “it’s great to get back to my roots delivering summer camps and l’m especially pleased that during our camps we are able to focus on girls football”.   He explained that “this gives the girls a chance to learn new skills which they can then take into matches playing against other girls”.

Another fantastic turn out at the GMCT summer camps but there is still time of boys and girls to join us over the next 2 weeks.  Booking can be done via our website   http://mortoncommunity.net/courses/summer-camps-2013/
