Greenock Morton Community Trust are delighted to announce the start of a new venture that takes Tom Elliott, Community Engagement Manager back to nursery. Micro Morton is aimed at children who are at pre-school age and want to get active over the coming months.  It was featured in Friday’s Greenock Telegraph with the help of some children from King’s Oak Nursery School who were all excited when Cappie the Cat showed up to join them in a coaching session.

Micro Morton sessions are available to boys and girls aged between 2-4 years old. Morton Community Trust offers the chance for pre-school children to become involved while making new friends and learning new skills.  We caught up with Elliott last week as he told us “we believe in encouraging learning through football and building confidence using a mixture of activities such as skipping, hopping, jumping and fun football activities.  Micro Morton seeks to improve physical literacy, co-ordination, balance, communication and learning skills.”

Classes start on Saturday 26th October at Clydeview Academy and Sunday 27th October at Inverclyde Academy.   Children as asked to wear t-shirts, shorts and socks with trainers as all classes will be indoors.  Parents/Guardians must stay for the duration of the session.

Booking can be done online via our website by clicking on Micro Morton
