Pre-school children are enjoying being part of our new Micro Morton experience. The sessions started last Saturday at Clydeview Academy and Sunday at Inverclyde Academy. There was great excitement in the air as the children arrived ready to enjoy the 45 minute session with our Community Coaches, James and Ross. As parents and guardians must stay for the duration of the sessions the coaches encouraged them to take part too. Happy faces all round!
Micro Morton sessions are available to boys and girls aged between 2 – 4 years old. Morton offers a chance for pre-school children to become involved while making new friends and learning new skills. Every week this programme will be delivered in line with the Greenock Morton Community Trust Player Pathway which runs from aged 2 – 16 years.
We believe in encouraging learning through football by developing boys and girls through active play. Micro Morton seeks to improve physical literacy, co-ordination, balance, communication and listening skills confidence using a mixture of activities such as skipping, hopping, jumping and fun football activities.
These sessions have been very popular, so much so that only one of our sessions has spaces left. So if you are free on a Sunday at 9.15 – 10 am then sign up for our Micro Morton experience at Inverclyde Academy.
