CA1 & coaches

Former Morton hero, Peter Weatherson, was all geared up yesterday joining Tom Elliott & our community coaches as they kicked off the start of Block 2 at Clydeview Academy.   Every child who has registered for Mini Morton were delighted to receive their new training tops thanks to our sponsor, 2020 Renewables.

There is still time to book up and join in the fun for Block 2.  Micro Morton, Mini Morton & Morton Girls run on a Saturday at Clydeview Academy.  Micro Morton & Mini Morton run on a Sunday at Inverclyde Academy.  Mini Morton sessions run on a Monday at St Columba’s, Kilmacolm.  More photos from our first two days of sessions will be posted on Facebook very soon.

Micro Morton sessions, which are aimed at pre-school children, have proved so successful that an additional two classes have been added for 2014.  Micro Morton seeks to improve physical literacy, co-ordination, balance, communication and listening skills confidence using a mixture of activities such as skipping, hopping, jumping and fun football activities.  Children attending should wear t-shirt/shorts and socks with trainers and bring along a water bottle (no fizzy juice). Parents/guardians must stay for the duration of the sessions but they were certainly enjoying themselves earlier today at Inverclyde Academy.

Let’s keep the children of Inverclyde active in 2014!
