Greenock Morton Community Trust welcomed four teams yesterday to Cappielow as they got the chance to play on the pitch at half time. Two teams from Port Glasgow Juniors Boys Club and another two from our new Morton Community teams played against each other much to the delight of their coaches.
Port Glasgow Juniors Boys Club 2003s and 2006s were delighted to meet some of the Morton FC Development Squad before the match.
Just before half time some team pictures were taken of the Morton Community 2006 & 2003 teams.
Great fun was the name of the game at half time. Tom Elliott, Community Engagement Manager commented, “The Community Trust are delighted to invite local teams to Cappielow especially when they get the chance to play on the pitch at half time. We’ve had links with Port Glasgow Junior Boys club last year with a tour of Cappielow and a master class at Lady Octavia. I’m thrilled to see the excitement that shines through the faces of the children as they perform in front of the fans at Cappielow. Thank you to all their coaches for bringing them today and for their parents for coming along to support them.”
Here are a selection of photos from the half time fun … enjoy!
Thank you to our wonderful Groundsman, Mark Farrell, who continues to support the Community Trust.
