Greenock Morton Hockey Club as part of Morton in the Community, has an immediate vacancy for a Club Connect Coach.

Job Role
The newly created club connect post will be used to grow Greenock Morton Hockey Clubs junior membership and create stronger club links within the cluster schools identified in partnership with Active Schools. The programme aims to provide curricular support and extra-curricular coaching to schools as well as helping them create teams to compete in local and national events. It also allows for talent ID to underpin future performance programmes.
The success will be measured through the number of players becoming club members from these schools. This can be easily tracked through the club database. We would also expect to see school teams created and competing.
Currently we deliver sessions in schools to around 3000 pupils which the club will continue to fund. The impact on our membership is less than 1% joining the club. The club connect programme will create a culture of hockey within the schools and community through increased opportunities and much stronger support to provide the required pathways into the club, over time the 1% rate will increase. The club connect coach will be based within the schools and is able to act as a point of contact and break down any barriers to club membership.
The successful candidate will report to the Head of Hockey.
