Calum and Sandra Livingstone, Lorna and Craig Robertson and Lynne, Brian and Ellie Patterson returned to the #Morton50DayChallenge for the third year on the trot. Last year the team raised £776.42 which was split evenly between Morton in the Community and Bowel Cancer UK.
This time around their charity of choice is Crisis Counselling who are a charity based in Erskine that support a wide range of people from children to military personnel providing counselling services.
Their volunteer counsellors offer support to people who are experiencing difficult situations including mental illness and bereavement to name a few.
Fifty day challenger, Calum Livingstone comments: “My aunt Lynne, who is also taking part in the challenge is a counsellor and has seen first-hand how the service they provide helps people.
“Mental health is a big issue at the moment and there is still some stigma attached to it and we wanted to raise funds for a local organisation that is doing a good job in helping those that need it.”
You can support Calum and the team’s #Morton50DayChallenge by donating to their Just Giving page.
The #Morton50DayChallenge encourages fundraisers to get active while fundraising for Morton in the Community and causes close to their hearts. Fundraisers are encouraged to walk, swim, jog or cycle 5k a day for five of seven days per week for fifty days. For more information click here.
