On Friday 4 May 2018 Gourock Golf Club hosted eighty players as our celebrating five years fundraising events and activities continued with a Texas Scramble, sponsored by VSN Sport.
The event had an extra edge of excitement as VSN Sport sponsored all par three’s should someone hit a hole in one. There was a staggering £10,000 up for grabs on the fourth, £750 on the seventh and £1,500 to play for on the seventeenth.
However, there were to be no winners.
We Film Golf was given the freedom of the golf course to capture the good, the bad and the ugly of the days play. You can watch the highlights here.
The event raised £2,700, all of which is re-invested in Inverclyde through Morton in the Community projects and activities.
Gordon McKillop, Operations Manager at Morton in the Community comments: “Despite the unfriendly weather conditions for golf it was a very enjoyable and successful day.
“We cannot be more appreciative of our sponsors VSN Sport for donating all the prizes and committing £10,000 to anyone who managed a hole in one.
“I’d like to extend thanks to Derek Watters and Gourock Golf Club for hosting the event. We Film Golf for providing a fantastic highlights package of the indifferent pieces of play throughout the day and to everyone who played in support of for Morton in the Community.”
