Morton Community 2008s team have designed their own unique strip in memory of Community Coach, Kirs Juszczak, thanks to sponsorship from Compassionate Inverclyde.

Alison Bunce; Compassionate Inverclyde, “The TSB our charity partner this year have been raising funds for Compassionate Inverclyde and with their generosity we were able to sponsor the strip with the Compassionate Inverclyde Logo. It is another way of getting more people to recognise the logo and recognising that we are a compassionate community where ordinary people are helping ordinary people.”

As part of the sponsorship Morton in the Community and Compassionate Inverclyde will be holding a collection day before Greenock Morton home match within the 2018/19 season.

Special thanks to Carol McEwan, whose son AJ played in the 2008 squad before joining Greenock Morton Youth Academy.

Carol McEwan; People and Communities Project development manager Branchton Community Centre, “Compassionate Inverclyde sponsoring Kris’s top, designed by one of his team, not only raises awareness of the voluntary services provided by Compassionate Inverclyde, but it is a fitting tribute to the kindness, community spirit and dedication Kris showed throughout Inverclyde. His team although young, were eager to acknowledge their coach, as were the parents and we look forward to seeing the boys on the pitch in their strips.”

Blair Kelly; Project worker,“This idea for the boys to dedicate a Morton strip towards Kris is fantastic, I’m bursting with pride every time I see them play in the strips as a memory to Kris! I’m sure the big guy would be over the moon with them also while sporting a massive red face.”
