Having completed their first season of eleven aside football, Morton Community 2005’s, players, coaches and family took the opportunity celebrate success at Cappielow on Friday 15thJune 2018.
Morton Community 2005s as a team where rewarded in May after being crowned champions of the Under 13s Paisley and Johnstone District League and Friday was the turn of individual awards. Having watched Spain versus Portugal and that Ronaldo Hat trick, excitement was already building in the room in preparation of Project Worker, Blair Kelly announcing the individual award winners.
The award Winners were as follows:
Most Club Minded: Curtis Woods
Most Improved: Ayden McLean
Coaches player of the Year: Iain Begg
Players Player of the Year: Curtis Woods
Parents Player of the Year: Iain Begg
Blair Kelly, Morton Boys Project Worker. “This is one of the most rewarding parts of my job as we get to celebrate the achievements of the players as individuals and teams. The 2005 squad, like all squads have been a real credit to Morton in the Community and have worked hard all season to achieve success.”
The evening was an excellent conclusion to what has been a successful season for all the players coaches and parents who have now have a well-earned summer break before all the hard work starts again come July.
