Morton in the Community in partnership with Southend Football and Community Club in South Uist, with support from ferry operator CalMac Ferries Ltd, are holding a two day ‘Train Like a Pro’ experience at Daliburgh School on the 6th and 7th August 2018.
Budding footballers aged five to sixteen are being given the opportunity to train like a Greenock Morton professional football player, under the guidance of the club’s UEFA and SFA-qualified coaches. The young players will not only develop their technique and football skills, they will also increase their understanding and knowledge of the game as well as learning about good health, nutrition and match day preparation.
Brian McLaughlin, Development Manager at Morton in the Community, comments: “I am delighted we are bringing Morton in the Community to Uist; we hope this is the first of many visits and the beginning of a long standing partnership.
“Our team are extremely excited to make the journey North West and meet the players and families engaging in an excellent two days of football and education.”

We would like to thank Daliburgh Thrift Shop’s SHARE Fund and Uist & Barra Sports Council for providing financial support to allow the Camp to take place.
“We hope that the camp will attract players from throughout the Island and look forward to an action packed couple of days with Greenock Morton.”
