“A relaxed environment which is not like therapy, its good you get the chance to speak with similar people.”
We have recently launched Team Talk which allows us to open the home of Greenock Morton FC, Cappielow Park, to provide a space for men aged 16+ to feel included and have the opportunity to talk.
Team Talk is held in the boardroom at Cappielow and offers a relaxed, social environment in which men can chat about everything and anything. This is not a football-based project and no knowledge of football is required.
A typical session* will follow the theme of:
- Arrival, welcome with a tea/coffee
- Question 1: How has your week been?
- Question 2: Anything you would like to get off your chest?
- Half time break, walk around the pitch (weather permitting) and tea/coffee
- Question 3: What has been the highlight of your week?
- Any other topics/questions
- Session end
In addition to the boardroom, we also have a separate room which can be used if anyone needs a moment alone.
*This is a ‘typical session’ however, we will add different questions each week and change the sessions to suit the needs of everyone attending.
Everyone who attends Team Talk has the option not to answer any questions and leave at any time throughout the session. Furthermore, all discussions are treated in complete confidentiality.
There is no registration required for Team Talk, simply turn up any Monday to Cappielow at 7pm for a tea/coffee.
However, if you would like more information on Team Talk please don’t hesitate to call the Community office on 01475 731949 and ask for Jonny, or alternatively email: jroy@mortoncommunity.netor admin@mortoncommunity.net
