We are delighted to announce we have signed a 3-year partnership with Specsavers Greenock to become the main sponsor of Morton Girls. Throughout the last 4 years, Specsavers Greenock have been a proud supporter of Morton in the Community, in particular Micro Morton in which they have provided footballs and bibs to our budding young footballers.

This exciting new partnership will now see Specsavers Greenock as the main sponsor of Micro Morton, Girls Only centres, and our Girls Community Teams which run from under 9s through to under 17s.

One of the main benefits of the sponsorship is the design of a unique strip which the girls will wear when competing in matches each weekend. Having hosted a competition between our girls’ players to design the strip.
The winning design for the outfield strip was designed by Ava Collins (under 15s), and the goalkeeper strip was designed by Zoe Allardice (under 13s).

Brian McLaughlin, Chief Executive; Morton in the Community; “I have been working with Lesley and Jonathan for the last 4 years and they have been a fantastic supporter of Morton in the Community. We are delighted to be working with Specsavers Greenock for the next three years at least. The new strips are a fantastic addition to our girls’ teams and we have had many positive comments regarding them.”

Lesley Brown, Specsavers Greenock; This is the start of a new and exciting era in our relationship with Greenock Morton Community Trust and we’re pleased to be taking our partnership to the next level through this new sponsorship. Morton in the Community aims to encourage participation in sport, health and well-being, while boosting education and employability opportunities – exactly what we want for our community. As a local business, we want local residents, including our young people, to know that we support them every bit as much as they’ve supported us over the years, and we hope the players wear their bibs and kits with pride, as we are so very proud to be sponsoring them.”

Thanks to Specsavers Greenock and all the staff for their continued support to Morton in the Community. If you or your business would like to become a sponsor of Morton in the Community, please get in touch by emailing admin@mortoncommunity.net or phone the Community office on 01475 731949.
