Morton in the Community are delighted to receive funding to deliver a female coach education programme which will see 16 local females receive the opportunity to develop their coaching skills and receive qualifications including Scottish FA: Introduction to Coaching and Sports First Aid Certificate.

In addition to gaining qualifications all participants will get the opportunity to gain valuable volunteer experience within our girls teams in order to inspire the next generation of female players across Inverclyde.

Lee Mitchell, Sport Project Manager; “Coaches and volunteers go above and beyond on a daily basis to support the work of Morton in the Community, this is a unique opportunity for local females to start their coaching journey and inspire the next generation of female footballers.”

This programme is funded by the Woman’s Fund for Scotland and any local females aged 16+ interested should get in touch with Sport Project Manager Lee Mitchell by emailing lee@mortoncommunity.net
