Hockey Teams

Greenock Hockey started in 1959 and were originally part of the Greenock Cricket Club until 2014, when Greenock Hockey eventually joined Morton in the Community as an effort to combine sport with the local community and has been part of The Trust ever since.

Greenock Morton Hockey offers a structured pathway into hockey, with the ability to cater for a wide range of playing abilities and aspirations. We have both men’s & ladies teams as well as a separate team for juniors.

Our ladies and men train on a weekly basis, coached by enthusiastic and dedicated coaches who aim to help improve players technical abilities as well as the players’ confidence and knowledge of the beautiful game. Both our men and ladies participate in a match day experience once per week. The Men XI are currently in the Regional League 2 and the ladies in West District Division 3.

Greenock Morton Hockey have junior teams at every age group: Under 8s, Under 10s, Under 12s, Under 14s who train twice a week. They also play in a non-competitive West District Junior League on a monthly basis as well as festivals throughout the years.

In addition to playing hockey, all of our teams are actively involved in community outreach programmes such as donating food to local food banks.
