Full STEM Ahead....

07/06/2024

As you would have seen from our socials this week, we are gearing up for the #InverclydeSTEMFest2024 tomorrow at the Watt Museum.

This is a unique opportunity to bring STEM to our community for a day of learning, connections and enjoyment whilst learning more about Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.

But wait there is more, we are delighted to announce as part of this piece of work, we have also secured three years funding from Young Start Award from The National Lottery Community Fund to bring STEM into the heart of Inverclyde communities and inspire the future of our community.

The National Lottery Community Fund, Scotland Chair, Kate Still said:

“We’re thrilled to announce this latest round of funding and to be able to continue to fund such a broad range of vital projects for young people all over Scotland.

“We are always keen to support projects that put Scotland’s young people at the heart of the development and running of services. If your group has an idea how you would make this happen, then we’d love to hear from you.”

Morton in the Community, Chief Executive, Brian McLaughlin said:

“This is a real unique opportunity for us to inspire our community through STEM and remove barriers for young people to experience STEM for the first time. Special mention to Young Start Award from The National Lottery Community Fund for the support and allowing us to offer these exciting opportunities across Inverclyde.”

The Inverclyde STEM festival kicks off tomorrow from 10am at the Watt Institution and is free for all to attend.

Full STEM ahead and The Inverclyde STEM festival is a collaboration between Morton in the Community, Access Technology and Youth Connections funded by Young Start Award from The National Lottery Community Fund.
