We're delighted to announce that Morton in the Community has achieved Cyber Essentials Certification. This demonstrates our commitment to cybersecurity and ensuring our systems, data and participants information remains secure.
What is Cyber Essentials?
Cyber Essentials is a UK government backed certification, designed to help businesses protect themselves against common cyber threats. It sets a strong foundation for cybersecurity by ensuring business have essential security measures in place, such as:
- Securing Internet Connections
- Protecting devices and software
- Controlling access to data
- Defending against malware and typical cyber attacks
- Keeping software and systems updated
Why this matters:
Board Trustee, Scott McNab, explains "In today’s world, where data can effectively be seen as currency, by achieving Cyber Essentials, this means that Morton in the Community has taken proactive steps to guard against cyber threats, giving assurance that we value participants & partners data and commit to keeping this safe. It also helps demonstrate best practice and our commitment to maintaining a secure digital environment"
